John Russell

Born and raised in New Orleans, John moved to Baton Rouge in 1985 to attend LSU. He is a member Delta Chi Fraternity, and was elected a their Rush Chairman in 1986. John has been married for 25 years and has two daughters. John has worked as a prosecutor in Baton Rouge as a Senior Felony Assistant DA, as Section Chief for the Public Defender’s Office in the 19th JDC Drug Court, and as Conflicts Counsel for the Indigent Defender Board. John is an avid artistand has displayed his work in the annual “Arts Judicata” exhibit/fundraiser hosted by the Arts Council of Baton Rouge and the BR Bar Association. In 2018 John received the “Greek Excellence Award” for outstanding alumni at LSU.
